Punjabi music sensation Karan Aujla is making the most of his time in Kolkata before his much-anticipated concert, indulging in the city’s iconic street food and sweets. The singer, currently touring India as part of his P-Pop Culture Tour, is set to perform at Aquatica Ground on April 3.
Sharing glimpses from his visit on social media, Aujla traded stage lights for local flavours, beginning his culinary trail at the popular Arun Tea Stall in Mullick Bazar. The singer was seen enjoying freshly fried samosas while interacting with fans gathered around him. A highlight of the visit was the stall’s unique “cappuccino chai,” served in traditional earthen cups and topped with a frothy layer and saffron garnish.
The impromptu food stop soon turned into a lively fan interaction, with admirers clicking selfies and seeking autographs from the artist, who appeared relaxed and cheerful throughout.
Continuing his food exploration, Aujla visited the renowned sweet shop Balaram Mullick & Radharaman Mullick, where he sampled the city’s famous rasgullas. Posting about the experience, he hinted at his excitement for the upcoming show, asking fans if they were ready for the big night.
Fans quickly flooded social media with reactions, expressing surprise and excitement at spotting the singer in their neighbourhoods. Some shared playful comments, suggesting more local delicacies for him to try, while others regretted missing a chance encounter during his street outing.
Following his Kolkata performance, Aujla’s tour will move to Jaipur and Lucknow, before concluding the India leg in Ludhiana later this month.
