Chandigarh: Punjabi music star Karan Aujla electrified thousands of fans during a high-energy concert at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, where more than 30,000 people gathered for one of the biggest Punjabi live music events the city has hosted.
The performance was part of the singer’s P-POP CULTURE India Tour, a multi-city concert series celebrating Punjabi pop and hip-hop. The Chandigarh event combined live music with elaborate stage design, lighting effects and large-scale production.
Dramatic opening and vibrant stage production
The show began with a dramatic entrance as Aujla appeared on stage using a pop-up lift from beneath the platform, instantly triggering loud cheers from the packed stadium.
Organisers created a visually striking environment with multi-level staging, giant LED screens, drone light displays and bursts of fireworks. Pyrotechnic effects and synchronised lighting further amplified the atmosphere throughout the evening.
The concert lasted nearly two and a half hours, with the crowd singing along and dancing to many of the artist’s hit tracks.
Emotional connection with fans
Addressing the audience during the show, Aujla described the performance as a special moment for him, noting that Punjab was where his musical journey first began.
The audience included fans from across northern India and beyond, with attendees ranging from students and families to elderly music lovers. Some newly married couples were also spotted enjoying the event.
Remembering flood victims
During the concert, Aujla paused the celebration to highlight the impact of the devastating 2025 floods in Punjab. A short video about the disaster was shown to the crowd, and the singer invited a family affected by the floods onto the stage.
He encouraged the audience not to forget the hardships faced by victims and urged continued support for those still rebuilding their lives.
Popular songs energise the crowd
The singer performed several of his well-known tracks including “Softly,” “Winning Speech,” “52 Bars,” “Take It Easy,” “Admirin U” and the tour’s title song “P-POP CULTURE.” The concert concluded with an energetic finale featuring “Try Me,” “Daytona” and “Gangsta.”
The Chandigarh event follows successful shows earlier in Delhi and Pune. The tour is scheduled to continue in cities including Indore, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Ludhiana in the coming weeks.
