Actor Satendra Soni, known for his role in Laapataa Ladies, has levelled serious allegations against a film's production team, claiming he was assaulted, threatened and denied his agreed remuneration after completing several days of shooting in Madhya Pradesh.

Soni shared an emotional video on social media, stating that he had travelled to the state to shoot a film and had fulfilled his professional commitments. According to the actor, he had received only the signing amount before filming began and expected the remaining payment after completing the schedule.

However, when he reportedly asked the makers about his pending dues after eight days of shooting, the situation allegedly turned hostile. Soni claimed he was asked to vacate his hotel immediately and was threatened instead of being paid.

In a detailed social media post, the actor further alleged that matters escalated outside the shooting location. He accused the film's director, Pushpendra Singh, and his wife, Pragati Chauhan, of confronting him on the road and physically assaulting him after allegedly following him in a vehicle. Soni also claimed that another individual who tried to intervene was assaulted during the incident.

Later, the actor posted another video from Mumbai, informing followers that he and two fellow artistes had safely returned to the city. He thanked the Madhya Pradesh Police and others who, according to him, helped ensure their safe return.

The allegations have generated significant attention across social media, although they have not been independently verified. The director and the production team have not issued any public statement responding to the claims so far.

Satendra Soni has appeared in several films and television projects, including Doctor G, Bawaal, Raat Akeli Hai and Hello Bachhon. He earned wider recognition for his appearance in Kiran Rao's critically acclaimed Laapataa Ladies and is also set to feature in the upcoming Mirzapur: The Movie.

The matter is now drawing attention within the entertainment industry, with many awaiting an official response from the filmmakers and further developments regarding the actor's allegations.
