Lekh Preview: Punjabi Mania present before you the full preview of upcoming Punjabi movie titled ‘Lekh’.
Before its start, the year 2022 had given an impression of being a non-stop one with respect to release of new Punjabi movies. Three months into 2022 and one realizes that it is more of a start-stop scenario than a non-stop one.
Scheduled to release in cinema halls on April 1 (Friday), Gurnam Bhullar and Tania-starer 'Lekh' will look to provide another start to this start-stop year (so far). Readers must note that the pair had worked together successfully in Vijay Kumar Arora's 'Guddiyan Patole' (2019).
Bhullar, who was seen on the silver screen as recent as this month in Rupinder Inderjit's 'Main Viyaah Nahi Karona Tere Naal', will have his second release in less than a month. Tania, on the other hand, was last seen in Jagdeep Sidhu's 'Qismat 2' (2021). In what will be Bhullar's sixth movie as an actor, it will be Tania's seventh.
Much like Bhullar working with a debutant director in his last movie, Lekh will also mark the directorial debut of Manvir Brar. Having worked as an assistant director in Sidhu's 'Shadaa' (2019), 'Surkhi Bindi' (2019) and 'Sufna' (2020), Brar has worked with both Bhullar and Tania in the past. Interestingly, Brar's debut movie has been written by Sidhu.
Other than the lead pair, Lekh will also feature late Kaka Kautki, Nirmal Rishi, Harman Dhaliwal and Harman Brar in pivotal roles.
Lekh Preview
The trailer of Lekh had released on the official YouTube channel of White Hill Music a couple of weeks ago. At the time of writing this article, it has received in excess of 15 million views on the same platform.
Coming straight out of Sidhu's book of romance with B Praak and Jaani as added seasonings, Lekh's genre and offerings are self-descriptive. While Brar's directorial debut is worth looking forward to especially after watching the trailer, how convincingly Bhullar and Tania portray characters of different ages will hold the key.
Lekh has been produced by Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Singh Sidhu under their illustrious banner of White Hill Studios. Hence, fans can be rest assured of numerous shows across states. In spite of S. S. Rajamouli's 'RRR' creating havoc at the box-office throughout the nation, Lekh should be able to do well commercially especially in the absence of new Punjabi releases.
If you are planning to watch the movie in the cinema halls on this Friday or on the subsequent days, don’t forget to share your views regarding the same in our comments section.
