Pandemic Covid 19 outbreak has taken the globe by storm. It captivated the world with its power and brought regular life to a standstill. Like most of the industries and businesses, the entertainment industry has also been strongly affected by the Corona Virus outbreak. As per the orders from authorities, the shooting and release of all films and shows had to be halted due to the Corona Virus crisis. This led to the postponement of the release of many Bollywood as well as regional films. The crisis also affected the Punjabi cinema as the release of many Punjabi films had to be stopped and all the film shootings had to be suspended for the while to ensure safety of all. Here is a list of Punjabi films that got impacted due to the Corona Virus outbreak :

Starring Amrinder Gill, Simi Chahal and a line up of celebrated actors including renowned Pakistani comedians, Chal Mera Putt is a light hearted comedy packed with drama and humour. The film was originally released on 13 March 2020. Soon after its release, the Corona Virus crisis hit the country and the cinemas had to be shut down. The movie will be re-released when the cinemas reopen. - POSTI
Written and directed by Rana Ranbir, Posti is a serious drama based on the subject of drug abuse. The film stars Prince Kanwaljit, Babbal Rai and Surilie Gautam in the lead. Produced by Gippy Grewal, the film was originally slated to release on March 20 this year. Due to the hiatus caused by the Corona Virus, the release date of the film has been postponed by the makers and will be revealed as soon as things get back to normal. - YAAR ANMULLE RETURNS
Yaar Anmulle Returns is the third part of the Yaar Anmulle Series. The multi starrer film is a romantic comedy based on college life. Directed by Harry Bhatti, the film stars Harish Verma, Prabh Gill and Yuvraj Hans. The film was earlier slated to release on 27 March 2020. - GALWAKDI
Galwakdi is a romantic drama starring Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead roles. Directed by Sharan Art, the makers promised a different kind of love story in this film. Shot in London, the movie was earlier scheduled to release on 2 April 2020. - GOLGAPPE
Directed by the master of comedy cinema- Smeep Kang, Golgappe is a light hearted comic drama filled with entertainment and humor. Starring Binnu Dhillon in the lead, the film will be a bag of various flavours to savour. Golgappe was earlier scheduled to release on 10 April 2020. - TELEVISION
Starring Kulwinder Billa in the lead, 'Television' is a period drama which was earlier scheduled to release on 17 April 2020. The movie is a family drama packed with various elements.
