Welcome to the Live Review of Punjabi Film Shareek. We are visiting a multiplex in Chandigarh for the First Day First Show of Shareek.

10:31 AM
Occupancy: Given that it is a morning show, there are roughly 25 people here.

10:31 AM
Also since today is Dussehra, morning occupancy is expected to be lower.

10:32 AM
I have huge expectations from this film.

10:33 AM
Navaniat Singh is coming back from 2 back to back disappointing films. Lets hope that this film brings a change of fortune for him.

10:36 AM
Surprise! Surprise!: Trailer of Mukhtiar Chadha is attached with this film. Mukhtiar Chadha is another Ohri Production film starring Diljit Dosanjh and Oshin Brar.

10:38 AM
Mukhtiar Chadha Trailer: Looks quite funny, Typical Diljit Style.

10:44 AM
The film begins with Mere Saiyaan song. Looks like we are in for an intense flashback mode storytelling.

10:46 AM

10:54 AM
The film has started on the right note. Established all the characters. And now we have mahie Gill’s entry with traditional Boliyaan. Mahie plays the character of Jassi.

10:55 AM
Seeing Mahie Gill on screen after almost a year. she was last seen in Gang of Ghosts. Her last Punjabi flick was Carry on Jatta.

10:56 AM
Guess what: Kul Sidhu has a guest appearance in the film.

10:59 AM
Mahie plays the role of a bubbly girl, who carries a revolver with her. I mean WOW!

11:01 AM
Jimmy and Mahie right from the first scene pull off their chemistry created from Saheb Biwi aur Gangaster Days.

11:08 AM
Since the film is in the flashback mode. So lots and lots of Chamkila and Manak songs used in the background.

11:11 AM
Time for some romance. Mainu Ishq Laga song now. Jassi and Jassa feeling for each other.

11:23 AM
All characters introduced. Foundation has been laid. All set for an intense follow up now.

11:36 AM

Simar Gill and Oshin Brar now enter. Both are making their debuts with this film.

11:41 AM
Time for High Heels by Preet Harpal now. Simar Gill plays a double role. Agam and Ekam. Agam is married to Oshin Brar whereas Ekam lives in UK with his Chachu.

11:57 AM
It’s interval time. Around 50 people in the show, given it is a Thursday morning and festival time.

11:59 AM
Shareek has been a thoroughly entertaining film in the first half. Very less comedy and still entertaining. Navaniat Singh and team have put forward a great example that you can entertain people even through intense drama and not only comedy.

12:00 PM
Great sign of relief for Punjabi Film Industry. After Punjab 1984. I think this is one of the film which is high on entertainment value and relies more on emotions and values and very less on comedy.

12:12 PM
Time for Dil Kaafira by Micky Singh. Simpy a great song. Also has been shot very well. Mixes patches of the past with the present. A good job done by the VFX team here.

12:41 PM
Some khadka dadka time. Shareek song by Sippy Gill at the backdrop of a wedding.

1:01 PM
Well the film ends and even it ends with a bang. Many might’ve predicted the climax. But on the whole it’s a fantastic climax.

1:02 PM
I must admit, Shareek entertained me all throughout right from scene 1 to end.

1:03 PM
Punjabi Mania rates Shareek 4.5 out of 5. Script: 4/5, Direction 4.5/5 Acting 5/5 Music 4.5/5
