The ongoing social media storm surrounding Gurpreet Ghuggi has intensified once again after actress Love Gill publicly reacted to repeated trolling and personal questions directed at her online. The controversy, which has been circulating across platforms for weeks, continues to draw attention in entertainment circles.
According to recent posts, Love Gill has been facing a steady stream of comments on social media in which users repeatedly ask her about Ghuggi’s personal well-being. Frustrated by the persistence of such messages, she took to Instagram to address the issue directly, even sharing a screenshot of one user who had repeatedly posed the same question.
In her response, Gill suggested that instead of directing questions to her, users should contact Ghuggi himself if they were genuinely concerned. She stated that his social media profile is accessible and encouraged people to reach out to him directly rather than involving her in ongoing speculation.
At the same time, unverified claims circulating online have alleged a personal relationship between the two actors, including further sensational and financially motivated accusations. These claims have not been substantiated by any credible source and remain confined to social media chatter.
In a short video message shared on her story, Gill expressed irritation over the repeated messaging, remarking that if individuals were so concerned, they should communicate directly with the actor in question. She also emphasized that she had no role in the narratives being spread online.
The issue comes shortly after Ghuggi himself addressed growing online speculation and trolling. The veteran Punjabi actor stated that misinformation and targeted negativity had been circulating about him, much of it driven by individuals or groups attempting to damage his reputation. He also hinted that some of the content being shared appeared coordinated and financially motivated.
Ghuggi, who has worked in the industry for over three decades, said he initially chose to remain silent but felt compelled to respond as the situation escalated. He compared social media criticism to unnecessary noise that often spreads without verification, stressing that engaging with every rumour only amplifies it further.
He also mentioned that a formal complaint had been filed with cyber authorities, adding that legal action would be pursued if required. According to him, the matter has also had an emotional impact on his family, though he remains confident in his professional standing and public support.
Meanwhile, discussions surrounding the controversy continue to spread online, with supporters and critics of both actors engaging in heated exchanges. Despite the noise, both Gill and Ghuggi have indicated that they intend to address misinformation through official channels rather than prolonged public back-and-forth on social media.
