The trailer of upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Lover' released this evening on the official YouTube channel of Geet MP3. Scheduled to release on July 1 in cinema halls across the world, the teaser of Lover has been playing before the start of latest Punjabi movies in cinemas for sometime now.
Having made his acting debut in Manav Shah's 'Sikander 2' (2019) and worked in Shah's 'Jatt Brothers' earlier this year, Lover will be singer-actor Guri's third movie. Interestingly, Lover will be his first movie as a solo lead male actor.
Lover will also mark the acting debut of actor Ronak Joshi. Last seen in a Punjabi movie in 'Toofan Singh' (2017), veteran actor Yashpal Sharma is part of a Punjabi movie after half-a-decade. Other than these artists, Avtar Gill, Rupinder Rupi, Karan Sandhwalia, Harsimran Oberoi, Rahul Jaittly, Raj Dhaliwal, Harmandeep, Avar Brar and Chandan Gill will be playing pivotal roles in Lover.

Guri, who had briefly played a schoolboy in Jatt Brothers, will not only be playing a similar character again for a brief flashback sequence but will be leading in the portrayal of a vehement school-time love story.
Playing in and as for the first time in a movie, donning two completely different looks and appearing to have done the heavylifting in the trailer, it wouldn't be wrong to say that the onus will be on Guri when the movie releases next month. With the actor having performed in a satisfactory manner in his first two movies, perhaps Guri will face expectations in real sense for the first time in Lover.
With the trailer not refraining from putting on display the after-effects of an intense love story, early signs are that the climax of the movie will hold the key as far as its overall impact is concerned.
Dilsher Singh and Khushpal Singh, who work under the banner of Tru Makers, have directed Lover as their third movie after 'Moosa Jatt' (2021) and 'Shooter' (2022). Taj, who has himself directed several movies, has written the story and screenplay of Lover.
