Tension gripped parts of Ludhiana after a Punjabi singer was brutally assaulted by a group of unidentified youths, leaving him in a critical condition. The incident occurred in the Ambedkar Nagar area when the artist, Aman Sahota, had stepped out of his house to attend to some work.

According to people close to the singer, he was intercepted by four to five young men who allegedly attacked him using sharp weapons. The assault was so severe that Aman collapsed at the spot with serious head and facial injuries. He was initially taken to the Civil Hospital in Ludhiana, but doctors later referred him to PGI Chandigarh late at night after assessing the gravity of his condition.

Medical sources have indicated that Aman may have suffered multiple skull fractures, with possible damage around the eye area. A CT scan has been advised to determine the full extent of the injuries. His condition continues to be described as critical.

Aman Sahota, who lives in Himmat Nagar under the Dugri area, is known for performing at stage shows and live events. His friend, Arsh Kumar, said that the attack appeared to be sudden and unprovoked, and the reason behind it is still unknown. Locals and acquaintances who recognised him in an injured state rushed him to the hospital, while his family was informed soon after.

Police officials said that the assailants fled the scene after the attack and have not yet been identified. An investigation is underway, and officers are collecting details to trace those involved and determine the motive behind the violent incident.
