Maninder Buttar's Sakhiyan crosses 300 million views: Maninder Buttar's super-hit song is continuing to achieve milestones across the world.

Have you ever wondered what comprises of a blockbuster single track in the contemporary times? Is it the reception from audiences? Is it YouTube views? Is is commercial success? Is it more work?

While the definition of the above asked question can be different for different people, what has happened with Maninder Buttar's 'Sakhiyaan' seems to be a missing option - "All of the above".

Released nearly seven months ago, the song is still doing the rounds in not just Punjab but across the country. In times when songs have a highly restricted shelf life, to be able to resonate for such a time interval is nearly unbelievable. Perhaps, this is what a blockbuster single track is comprised of.

Made public on the official YouTube channel of White Hill Music in October last year, Sakhiyaan has now surpassed the 300-million mark on the same platform. In addition to the views, it has received 2.8 million likes and nearly one lakh comments at the time of writing this article.

While Buttar had sang the song and appeared in its video opposite Neha Malik, it was written by Babbu and musically directed by Mix Singh. Robby Singh had directed the video of the song.

On the back of Sakhiyaan's grand success, Buttar had released his latest single track titled 'Jamila' last month. During a promotional interview regarding the same, Buttar opened up on Sakhiyaan's success and disclosed why he won't act in movies like his peers anytime soon. Watch the full video below:
