Marjaney Preview: Amardeep Singh Gill's cinema likely to live up to its potential for the third time in a row

Marjaney Preview: Punjabi Mania present before you the full preview of upcoming Punjabi movie titled ‘Marjaney’.

Originally scheduled to release four weeks ago, Amardeep Singh Gill's 'Marjaney' is finally in readiness of a theatrical release. It will be on this Friday (December 10) that Gill's third Punjabi movie as a director will hit the silver screens.

Gill, who is primarily known for writing and directing the 'Jora' series, has penned the script of Marjaney as well. In addition to the movie being shot in Bathinda, another commonality with his previous two movies is the action genre.

Marjaney will also be the first time when Gill has worked with a lead actor other than Deep Sidhu. Singer-turned-actor Sippy Gill, who was last seen in Manbhavan Singh's 'Jaddi Sardar' (2019), has played the lead role in Marjaney. Actor Prreit Kamal, who was last seen in Amrit Raj Chadha's 'Saab Bahadar' (2017), has a release after as many as four years.

Apart from the lead pair, Marjaney also comprises of a talent bunch of actors namely Ashish Duggal, Kul Sidhu, Preet Bhullar, Sonpreet Jawandha, Harinder Bhullar, Satwinder Kaur, Tarsem Paul, Balwinder Dhaliwal, Ramandeep Dhillon, Bakhtawar, Jeet Singh and Harpreet Bains.

Marjaney's trailer had released on the official YouTube channel of Yellow Music a couple of weeks ago. At the time of writing this article, the trailer has received in excess of 1.5 million views on the same platform.

Considering the depth of his movies due to the presence of layered characters in it, Marjaney is expected to put forward more than a passable movie in front of the audiences. Gill, who appears to be having a soft corner for the crime genre, doesn't intentionally glorifies criminals but shares their side of the story for a criminal has many hidden ill-intentioned people behind him. Marjaney, too, should live up to this potential and aid Gill in building a filmography of his own - not just literally but also figuratively.

Marjaney has been produced by Vivek Ohri, Sarbpal Singh and Amritpal Singh under the banners of Ohri Productions and Jeetsons International. Marjaney will receive competition from Rubal Chhina's 'Kaka Pardhan' and Abhishek Kapoor's 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' in the cinema halls.
