Rabbi Kandola: A Police complaint has been lodged against the Punjabi artist with respect to his upcoming movie.

Forthcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Masand' finds itself in a controversy a couple of weeks before its theatrical release.

The trailer of the movie had released on the official YouTube channel of Living Dreams Music over a week ago. A few dialogues from the same trailer have been found objectionable by a set of Punjabi audiences who have lodged a Police complaint with respect to Masand.

According to the copy of the complaint, the complainant has requested the authorities to get a few dialogues removed from the movie before its release on November 11.

Having accused Masand to be promoting violence, the complaintant also believes that the objectionable dialogues have it in them to entice the youth of the state towards violence.

Rabbi Kandola, who has been named in the complaint, has written Masand apart from playing the lead role in it. Kandola, however, is yet to respond to the complaint on any of his social media handes. The actor was last seen on the silver screens in Tru Makers' 'Shooterearlier this year.

Based on a true story, Masand will touch upon the post 1984-era in Punjab. The movie also stars Nishawn Bhullar, RP Singh, Mahabir Bhullar, Vaquar Shaikh, Victor John, Amarinder Billing, Shohrat Singh, Simran Dhiman and Sufi Gulati in pivotal roles.
