Medal movie announcement: A brand new Punjabi movie was announced last night.

You know that an actor's performance in a movie has been highly appreciated by his colleagues when he signs a new movie on the weekend of his movie release.

Jayy Randhawa, coming fresh off his laudable efforts in and as 'Chobbar' on Friday, announced his next movie on Sunday evening.

Titled 'Medal', the movie will mark the acting debut of singer Baani Sandhu, who herself took to her social media platforms to express happiness at announcing her debut movie with Chobbar Randhawa.

Barring the lead cast, there is no information about other members of the movie such as writer, director, producer etc. With lyricist-turned-producer Jassi Lohka also present in the photograph posted by Sandhu, there's a strong possibility of Medal being his second movie as a producer after an untitled Prince Kanwaljit Singh movie.

Sandhu, who had made her singing debut with 'Fauji Di Bandook' under Humble Music over four and a half years ago, has worked extensively with Lohka in the past as well. Some of her most famous songs are '8 Parche', 'Sarpanchi', 'Bell Bottom', 'Affair' and 'Agg Att Koka Kehar'.

As far as Randhawa is concerned, he also has other unreleased movies namely 'Jaani Chor', 'Jatt Escobar' and 'Durlabh' to his name.
