Punjabi Cinema has gone from high to high in the recent years. There have been many reasons behind the success of these films. Some of them being the quality of the films being made, Use of the specialized technicians in the making of films and Entry of heavy weight corporates like Eros International, Tips Industries and T-Series to name a few in the Punjabi Industry.

Due to these changes in the industry, there have been many path-breaking films in the recent times based on the 'Youth'.The films which have re-written the Punjabi Box Office History in the recent past are: Mel Karade Rabba, Dharti, Jihne Mera Dil Lutiya and Jatt and Juliet. There has been one common element in all these films. No its not the Director, Actor or Actress. Its the writer of these films; Dheeraj Rattan. Writer is the most important part of any film after the Director.

Now Dheeraj is turning into a Director, with his debut film 'Sadi Love Story'. The film is said to be the MOST EXPENSIVE FILM ever made in the history of Punjabi Cinema. It is being produced jointly by Eros Internationa and Jimmy Sheirgill Productions.

The film stars Diljit Dosanjh, Amrinder Gill, Suvreen Chawla and Neetu Singh (Call Jalandhar Ton fame) in the lead roles. There are also special appearances by Jimmy Sheirgill, Neeru Bajwa and Ran Vijay Singha in the film. The shooting of the film commenced 2 weeks before in Chandigarh. Other things about the film haven't been revealed yet.

The film is set to release in the early part of 2013.
