ARPG has multiple plots running throughout the film. All these plots are situational and not deliberate. The first half is filled with comedy and in the second half romance and drama takes over. The movie is specifically targeted on the youth audiences.

Atharv Baluja who has made a name for himself in the Punjabi Music Industry by making a number of videos turns director for his first feature film. Speaking of his work, he has done his job well. He knew what kind of a film he was making and after seeing the film it seemed that he has done a satisfactory job. He has also written the story of the film alongside Rahul Deveshvar and Bobby Sandhu. The story was good but what went wrong was the length of the film. The length here is 158 mins, which is quite long keeping in mind the modern day standards. Anyways if you leave that aside the screenplay was good. The dialogues were peppy and were laughable.

Ravinder Grewal, a known face in the Punjabi Circuit as a singer makes his acting debut in his home production. He has made an impressive debut and Baluja has directed him well. He was equally good, both as a responsible brother and a jovial college student. Surbhi Jyoti didn’t get much scope here. Comedians Sharma, Dhillon and Bhalla were equally good. It seems that they are setting new benchmarks with each passing film. They are also making comedy a vital part of this Punjabi industry. Kartar Cheema was impressive in a small role. Others like Sardar Sohi and Teji Sandhu were also fine. Harjit Harman’s guest appearance was a surprise in the film. It was impressive as long as it lasted.

Music her composed by Ravinder Grewal and Himanshu Chawla was all right. Tracks like Jugni, Bandook and Akh lagdi are my picks from the album. Overall, the music was descent and supported the film well.

ARPG is a descent film to watch this weekend. Fans of Ravinder Grewal will enjoy his screen presence.
