If you thought that Bollywood’s Munni was too hot to handle then get ready to scorch in the heat emitted by Shabo of Punjabi cinema. With the trend of Punjabi movies picking up in the recent times, Pollywood has evolved in a big way and today Punjabi movies gather huge audience in multiplexes just like Bollywood movies.
Even the music of Punjabi films has replaced top chartbuster tracks and after ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’, it is the turn of ‘Dim Batti Jagdi jad Shabo de Chobare’ to take over the nation. In fact, the song is already a rage throughout the country.
The music launch of HM Music’s upcoming production ‘Jatts in Golmaal’ was a gala affair with the song already a rage in the City Beautiful. lead pair of the movie Aarya Babbar and Sameksha, Ace Comedian Binu Dhillon flanked by Producers Manmohan Singh Jandu, Harveen Singh, Harpreet singh, Jasbir Singh and co-produced by Lovely Group and Ranbir Singh Atwal were present at the music launch of ‘Jatts in Golmaal’.
The first raunchy item song of Pollywood featuring Pakistani actress Veena Malik will make everyone forget Malaika Arora Khan said Producer Manmohan Singh Jandu. Even the setting of the song reminds one of ‘Munni’ but our Punjabi Shabo is spicier and mushier as she sways to the tunes of Jatinder Shah’s music and the voice of Bollywood’s top singing sensation Sunidhi Chauhan added Jandu.
What makes it worth listening?
Jatinder Shah, who got Best Music Director & Best Background Score award at PTC Punjabi Film Awards 2013 is the mastermind behind the songs of the movie that include some heart touching songs like Kambhakt Dil Puthe Kamma Nu Sher sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Todi Na Kade Dil by Shahid Malya.
Among the other tracks of the romantic comedy that is set to release worldwide on May 24 are Akhiyan by Roshan Prince and Rimpy Gaar and feet thumping tracks like Jatt Baal Duga Deve Ni by Mika Singh and the title track Jatts in Golmaal by Manak-e.
Jatinder Shah has composed music of hit Punjabi movies like Mirza, Jatt and Juliet, Singh Vs Kaur and Carry on Jatta. The lyrics are by Raj Kakra, Veet Baljit and Kumar.

Talking about the movie, Aarya Babbar, son of veteran actor Raj Babbar, said, “Jatts in Golmaal is an out and out Punjabi comedy film releasing worldwide on the 24th of May, 2013. The movie will take you on a joy ride and as it is written by the Carry on Jatta fame Naresh Kathuriya be assured to have your bones tickling with laughter throughout the movie.”
The film is directed by Ksshitij Chaudhary, co-directed by R.Raja and stars Aarya Babbar, Sameksha, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Binnu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla, BN Sharma, Karamjit Anmol, Sardar Sohi, Harpreet Johal, among others. The story, screenplay and dialogues have been given by Naresh Kathooria (Carry on Jatta Fame).
“This entire GOLMAAL will surely take the audience on an extremely funny joy ride, which has never been witnessed in the Punjabi cinema till date. The viewers have seen several GOLMAALs, but this is the first time that they will witness the Punjabi Golmaal. The movie is going to be a Paisa Vasool family entertainer,” said Harveen Singh.
