The wave of Punjabi cinema is in the direction of good content and new stories. The Punjabi film industry is growing year after year, and bringing fresh and quality content for the audience. Recent films like Kali Jotta and Chal Jindiye is the real time proof of performance and content oriented approach of the Punjabi cinema.

Neeru Bajwa is the queen of Punjabi film world and the actress has been ruling the industry for almost two decades now. Along with being a brilliant actor, Bajwa has shown her talent in the field of direction and production as well. The star is now a full fledged producer in the Punjabi industry and runs her own home production banner- Neeru Bajwa Entertainment.

After bringing two stupendous stories to life in the last few months, Bajwa is all ready for another big project. After the super success of Kali Jotta and Chal Jindiye, Bajwa has announced her new film with again an out-of-box concept. The title of this new movie is Boohey Bariyan.

The writer and director of Chal Jindiye have once again shown their magic in this new film. Boohey Bariyan has been written by Jagdeep Warring and has been directed by Uday Pratap Singh. The film is being made under the banners of Neeru Bajwa Entertainment, U&I Films and Lienniaz Entertainment.

The film stars Neeru Bajwa in the lead. The movie will be a multi starrer with many polished actors including Nirmal Rishi, Rubina Bajwa, Jatinder Kaur, Simone Singh, Rupinder Rupi, Gurpreet Bhangu, Seema Kaushal,  Baljinder Kaur and Dharminder Kaur. The unique part about this film is that no male star has been mentioned in the starcast of the film. This clearly suggests that this movie will be a women-oriented drama film. It will be interesting to have a Punjabi film with an all women starcast.

The first poster of the film is out and like the name suggests, it features an old rustic door. The poster of the project indicates that the film will be set in a rural backdrop. The shooting of the film has completed and the movie has been shot at a location near Ropar. The movie will hit the screens on 29 September 2023. The fans are excitedly looking forward to this new project.
