Punjabi actress Neeru Bajwa has stepped forward once again with a humanitarian gesture, announcing financial support for Granthi Singhs serving in flood-affected villages of Punjab.
Under her initiative, Bajwa will provide Rs 5,000 per month to Granthi Singhs across 15 villages that were severely impacted by the recent floods. The aid will continue for six months, offering some stability to those who have been at the forefront of maintaining spiritual and community services despite the natural disaster.
Known not only for her on-screen presence but also for her social contributions, Bajwa has earlier voiced concern about the plight of flood-hit families in the state. Her latest announcement highlights the role of gurdwaras and Granthi Singhs, who often provide shelter, food, and hope to communities during times of crisis.
Community leaders have lauded the actress’s support, calling it a meaningful step to sustain the guardians of religious institutions while villagers continue to rebuild their lives.
