Social media is abuzz with speculation that Punjabi cinema’s reigning queen, Neeru Bajwa, might be joining the cast of Ajay Devgn’s upcoming sequel, ‘Son of Sardaar 2’. While multiple entertainment portals and fan pages have hinted at her involvement, there has been no official confirmation from either the makers or the actress herself.
The rumors began swirling after Neeru was reportedly spotted leaving a production office in Mumbai where key meetings for the film are believed to be taking place. Fueling the speculation, several industry insiders claimed that Bajwa is being considered for a significant lead role opposite Ajay Devgn in the high-energy action-comedy, which is currently in its pre-production stage.
‘Son of Sardaar’, released in 2012, was a hit among mass audiences, combining Devgn’s action prowess with Punjabi cultural flavors. The sequel is expected to carry forward the same flavor, and the potential casting of Neeru Bajwa has heightened interest among Punjabi and Bollywood audiences alike.
If true, this could mark Neeru Bajwa’s major return to mainstream Hindi cinema after carving a legacy in the Punjabi film industry with consecutive hits and powerful performances.
Ajay Devgn’s team has yet to respond to the casting speculation. Neeru Bajwa has also remained tight-lipped on the matter, only sharing cryptic updates on her social media that fans are now reading into.
Until an official announcement is made, fans will have to wait and watch if this dream pairing becomes a reality.
