Neeru Bajwa & Sargun Mehta's Absence From Sonam Bajwa's Talk Show Raises Eyebrows

How monotonous would life be without competition? This holds true for Punjabi Cinema as well! The stars formerly enjoyed a monopoly, but they soon discovered that equally well-known and gifted individuals were headed their way. The film industry’s arch-rivalry narratives are more fascinating than the films themselves, from sharing screen space to getting written off in articles about competition, and box office comparisons to dating the same men or women.

And when talking of Punjabi cinema and artists, it has been rumoured that Punjabi Cinema’s longest reigning superstar Neeru Bajwa, Sonam Bajwa and Sargun Mehta have been having tough competition with each other. Adding points to this rumour, there have been talks that both Neeru Bajwa and Sargun Mehta have not appeared in the show Dil Diyan Gallan which was released on television. The show which has been hosted by Sonam Bajwa has successfully completed two years on Television.

Many artists appeared in the show. Singers like Sidhu Moose Wala, Karan Aujla, Shivjot, Kulwinder Billa, Ninja and many others on the list have shared their experience in Dil Diyan Gallan. However, actors like Jaswinder Bhalla, Pukjraj Bhalla, Tania, Mandy Takhar, Dev Kharoud and others have showcased their talent and spilled the beans about their personal life. 

Moreover, not only this, Indian Cricketers like Shubham Gill and Gurkeerat Singh Maan have also shared the screen space with Sonam Bajwa. Bollywood celebrities like Varun Sharma and Sunny Singh have also appeared on the show.

But what strikes our mind is that Pollywood queen Neeru Bajwa and commendable star Sargun Mehta haven’t made their presence on Sonam’s talk show across 2 seasons. Though Jatt & Juliet fame Neeru Bajwa made her debut OTT with the movie Beautiful Billo on the same network and has also hosted a talk show for the same channel. Sargun, who started her career with Zee TV with 12/24 Karol Bagh, calls her association with the channel a great one. Most of Sargun Mehta’s Punjabi Movies are available on the channel-owned OTT platform as well. The mystery surrounding why the two never went to Sonam Bajwa’s show is still intriguing, though. 

Two seasons of the same have already seen the daylight in which some celebrities from the Punjabi industry came twice and almost 60-70 celebs have made their appearance in the show.

All the episodes were undoubtedly interesting but what was missing was the presence of the stars Neeru Bajwa and Sargun Mehta. Hopefully, if there is a Season 3 of Sonam’s show, the other 2 actresses share the screen with Sonam and would it be asking for too much if we can expect the star trio to feature together on an episode?
