At a time when Punjab is struggling to recover from one of the most destructive floods in recent years, Punjabi actress Neeru Bajwa has come forward with a humanitarian gesture that is winning hearts across the state. The acclaimed star has taken upon herself the responsibility of providing education to children from 15 flood-affected villages.
The recent floods have left several families displaced and schools in rural belts severely disrupted. Many children have been unable to return to their classrooms, with infrastructure damaged and resources running scarce. Recognizing the urgent need to safeguard their future, Bajwa has pledged to cover educational expenses for these children, ensuring they don’t lose out on learning opportunities despite the crisis.
Her decision has been widely appreciated by locals and social workers, who see it as not just financial support but also a message of hope. Many believe her involvement will inspire others from the Punjabi film industry and beyond to step up for relief efforts.
