Operation Sindoor Movie: A new feature film titled Operation Sindoor has been officially announced by filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri in collaboration with producer Bhushan Kumar, bringing a real-world military narrative to the big screen.
The upcoming project takes cues from India’s precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, carried out after the deadly 2025 attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack had resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians, many of them visitors, and triggered a strong national response.
The storyline is adapted from the book Operation Sindoor: The Untold Story of India's Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan written by Lt Gen KJS ‘Tiny’ Dhillon (Retd), offering insights into the planning and execution of the military operation.
Backed by T-Series and I Am Budha Productions, the film aims to present a detailed account of the operation, highlighting the coordination, intelligence inputs, and strategic depth involved.
Agnihotri, whose previous works include The Kashmir Files and The Bengal Files, said the film seeks to explore complex realities that often remain outside public discourse. He added that the team has worked closely with defence sources to ensure authenticity in portraying events.
Describing the film as both a tribute and an exploration, the creators said it will combine factual storytelling with cinematic intensity. Additional announcements, including casting and release details, are expected soon.
