Ninja as Hero & Amrit Maan as villain in ‘Sairat’ Punjabi Remake

Everyday, new Punjabi films are being announced. Winter is the season when many new Punjabi films are announced each year. This year is no different. Next film which is slated to go on floors from today is the Official Punjabi remake of Sairat. The film will be directed by Pankaj Batra & produced jointly by White Hill Production & Zee Studios (the Producers of the original Marathi version).

Ninja will play the role played by Akash Thosar as Prashant Kale (Parshya) in the original.

Now the news is that Punjabi singer Ninja has been roped in to play the main lead actor in this Pankaj Batra directorial. Ninja is famous for his peppy Punjabi numbers like Pinda Wale Jatt, Thokda Reha, Gal Jattan Wali & some sad/romantic numbers like Aadat. The lead actress of the film is a secret at the moment and has been chosen via auditions done in various cities last month.

Amrit Maan will play the role of the main villain in the film.

Another news coming in is that the baddie in the film will be played by another debutante singer turned actor Amrit Maan known for his beard style and songs like Kali Camaro, Mucch te Mashook, Supna & many more.

The film is titled ‘Channa Mereya’ & is slated to release on July 14, 2017.
