Gippy Grewal who is marking his name in music charts, on big screens and around the globe is all set to shine on the OTT platform too. The Punjabi artist Gippy is again ready to sweep you off your feet and make all your blues disappear, as his first-ever web series Outlaw, is now out on Chaupal.
After the whopping success of Carry on Jatta 3, his first Punjabi web series is finally out for viewers. Released today July 28, 2023, exclusively on OTT Chaupal. Outlaw is the first of its kind where a Punjabi mainstream actor has ventured into the realm of digital space, paving the way for many more mainstream artists to join the digital world after killing it on the silver screen for many years.
The latest release web series has been helmed by Baljit Singh Deo, whereas written and produced by Gippy Grewal himself along with Chaupal Studios. Speaking of the series, Outlaw is an action thriller that is quite gripping from the start to the finish. Consisting of five episodes, each episode is twenty to twenty-five minutes and each will make you want to watch it all in one go.
Gippy who is playing the role of Kaala, a gangster, wants to mint a lot of money by selling drugs. Along with him is his partner, his paternal uncle, Mewa Singh, played by Yograj Singh, who also joins him in such deals. Apart from them, the series also has eminent roles played by actors like Prince Kanwaljit Singh (Jeeta), and Tanu Grewal (Preet), which makes the storyline super interesting.
It can be well established that Outlaw will be a hit series as the storyline is enticing and the visual effects of the series are apt as it has a brownish tone to it, which goes well with the gangster theme as we see in many Hollywood projects as well. For instance, we have seen great content like Peaky Blinders or Breaking Bad which portray timeless true crime dramas where both these series have the new bad guy formula going.
Outlaw has all these elements as well which make a series a hit.
