After the death of Sidhu Moosewala, new information has made the headlines. It has been noted that the parents of Shaganpreet Singh, the former manager of the slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, filed a petition. To this, the Punjab and Haryana High Court responded by sending a notice to the state.
During the petition, Shaganpreet's parents have asked for protection of life and liberty in a court, alleging a possible danger from gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Satwinder Singh alias Goldy Brar. The state of Punjab has been directed by Justice Gurvinder Singh Gill bench to respond to its notice by February 20.
The petitioners, Shaganpreet Singh's parents Daljeet Kaur, 72, and Sudager Singh, 68, have argued via attorney Gaurav Dutta that neither their son's name appeared in the FIR filed for the murder of Vicky Middukhera nor did it come up during the inquiry into the subsequent killing.
On April 6, 2022, Shaganpreet left for Australia. On April 10, 2022, the investigating agency took advantage of Ajay's manipulated disclosure statement and introduced Shaganpreet.
Moreover, the plea reads, “The family have certain rites and rituals to perform at their house in India and therefore are willing to come back. However they apprehend serious threat due to the fact that their son, namely Shaganpreet, has been receiving death threats too and hence are seeking protection as their lives are also in danger.”
