Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra is all set to make her OTT series debut with an upcoming Netflix mystery thriller, joining an ensemble cast that includes Jennifer Winget, Soni Razdan, and Anup Soni.

Bollywood's Shift to OTT

Since the pandemic, Bollywood has been struggling at the box office, with several films underperforming. The trend continued in 2024 and early 2025, leading distributors and filmmakers to re-release older films like Laila Majnu, Sanam Teri Kasam, and Veer Zaara to keep cinema halls running. Meanwhile, a few new releases, such as Chhaava, Pushpa 2, and Stree 2, have managed to succeed.

With theatrical films facing challenges, more filmmakers are turning to direct OTT releases, and even established stars are embracing the digital platform.

Siddharth P. Malhotra’s New Mystery Thriller

On Tuesday, filmmaker Siddharth P. Malhotra took to social media to unveil his latest project, a Netflix mystery thriller series featuring Parineeti Chopra in the lead role. Sharing images of the cast, he announced the start of filming and expressed excitement about the project.

Directed by Rensil D'Silva, the series marks Parineeti’s second collaboration with Netflix, following her 2024 film Amar Singh Chamkila, where she starred alongside Diljit Dosanjh.

Malhotra teased the intriguing premise of the show, writing, "Some mysteries don't just unfold—they pull you in, keep you guessing, and refuse to let go. We've got a lead on this case! A new mystery thriller series is in the making, and shooting has begun. Can’t wait for you all to see this labour of love from Team Netflix and us. So, so glad @parineetichopra makes her series OTT debut with this project."

With a stellar cast and an exciting mystery storyline, the series is already generating buzz among fans.
