Parmish Verma to act in and as 'Singham'

In what has come as a great development, the Punjabi film industry is set to witness the official remake of the 2011-released super-hit Hindi movie 'Singham'. To the likes of the fans of the Punjabi film industry, they won't have to be agog as the lead of the movie has also been announced.

What will enthral the fans to a greater extent is the fact that Parmish Verma has been casted in and as in the movie. Having made his debut last year in 'Rocky Mental', these are some big boots to fill for the director-turned-actor-turned-singer. That being said, we expect him to stand tall on the opportunity for it is a role which suits well with his persona.

Another interesting facet to the announcement is that legendary actor Ajay Devgan is also involved in the project. Having successfully portrayed the role in 'Singham' and 'Singham Returns', he will be presenting the movie this time alongside Panorama Studios. The movie will be produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak and co-produced by Omjee Group (Munish Sahni). Panorama Studios and Omjee Group will also distribute the movie worldwide.

The Hindi movie and its sequel were both directed by Rohit Shetty. However, the director of the official Punjabi remake is yet to be finalised. Stay tuned for further updates.
