HISTORY

The announcement of first ever Punjabi International Film Academy Awards (PIFAA) to be held in Toronto was made in a star studded function at JW Marriott hotel in Chandigarh, India on 29th Dec 2011.

About the event

The first PIFAA Awards was held in Toronto over 4 days – from 1st to 4th August 2012 with a number of events in addition to the Awards function.The awards function was a 4 hours long one with lots of entertainment and performances from leading Punjabi actors, singers, comedians and performers. The likes of Gippy Grewal, Diljit Dosanjh, Jimmy Sheirgill, Neeru Bajwa, Amrinder Gill and many others performed at the event. It was attended by a large number of Punjabi film personalities from India and around the world.
