Punjabi Artists Lend Support Through donations In The Corona Virus Crisis

Pandemic Covid 19 has created a time of difficulty for all at a global level. The Corona Virus outbreak has caused major commotion in the world and has severely affected the people, economy and all the industries. The complete lockdown of the whole country due to the Corona Virus crisis has created many problems for the daily wage workers and the poor. The low income earners and the daily wage workers stand the most affected by the crisis caused by Covid-19.

The government of the country is taking many steps to help the poor and needy in this unprecedented health crisis by providing them with resources. Many people are donating funds to the government for this noble cause. Like many Bollywood stars who have wholeheartedly contributed for the same, many artists from the Punjabi entertainment industry have also come out in the support of the people who have been affected by this pandemic. Diljit Dosanjh donated rupees 20 lakh to the PM-CARES fund, which is the fund that is primarily responsible for helping the needy in this arduous time. Punjabi artist Guru Randhawa also contributed rupees 20 lakh to the PM-CARES fund. Punjabi star Badshah also donated rupees 25 Lakh to the same fund for this cause. Comedy king Kapil Sharma also contributed rupees 50 lakh to the PM Relief Fund for the same.

Other than these stars, many other Punjabi artists like Parmish Verma, Kulwinder Billa, Gurlej Akhtar and many more are also helping the needy by distributing ration and other resources amongst the poor. Gippy Grewal is also doing his bit through NZFTAA (North Zone Film And TV Artists Association).

Vetaran Punjabi singer and politician Hans Raj Hans has also contributed a sum of rupees 50 lakhs from his MPLAD to the North Delhi Municipal Corporation for infrastructure provisions required for fighting the Covid 19 outbreak. The Punjabi entertainment industry is once again standing strong and united in the time of difficulty and is doing its bit to help the people who are in need. Other than this the artists are also doing the important job of creating awareness about the Corona Virus amongst their fans through their social media handles.
