Simranjit Singh Hundal’s short film: The Punjabi filmmaker has united 15 artists in one video to reveal each ones’ learning during lockdown.
With the announcement of the third lockdown in India in the wake of the novel COVID-19 pandemic, the film industry continues to suffer in times when movies can’t be released.
An industry which primarily depends on people coming together in a confined space to consume entertainment was bound to suffer in times of social distancing and isolating from each other.
Writer-director Simranjit Singh Hundal, who last directed ’25 Kille’ (2016), had announcement a short-film titled ‘Life Under Lockdown‘. The coming together of as many as 15 artists (on-screen) speaks highly about the much-needed unity in these dire circumstances.

Life Under Lockdown comprises of lockdown routines and learning of 15 artists of the Punjabi film industry. The results mostly show our artists trying their hands at cooking and fitness. What is most important is that each one of them aimed at spreading positive vibes among their fans.
Life Under Lockdown isn’t your normal fictional short film and doesn’t need to be judged on those lines. On the other hand, the 21-minute film created by Hundal deserves applauds for the uniting these many artists to become a source of amazement for audiences.
