Saak and Jaddi Sardar to clash on September 6: Punjabi Mania present before you the full preview of upcoming two Punjabi movies.
September 6 will mark the 11th occasion of the year 2019 when two or more Punjabi movies will release on the same day. Reduced from three to two, 'Saak' and 'Jaddi Sardar' will lock horns against each other on this Friday.
Given the varying genres of both the movies, it will be interesting to see regarding which one of them will take the lead at the box-office upon their release.
Saak and Jaddi Sardar to clash on September 6
Talking of Saak, its trailer had released nearly three weeks ago on the official YouTube channel of White Hill Music. At the time of writing this article, the trailer has received in excess of 3.5 million views on the same platform.
Saak will mark the directorial debut of Kamaljit Singh. Other than directing the movie, Kamaljit has also written its script. The lead actor in Jobanpreet Singh will also be seen for the first time on the silver screen. Jobanpreet has been paired opposite tried and tested face in Mandy Takhar.
Other than the lead pair, the movie stars Mukul Dev, Mahavir Bhullar, Sonpreet Jawanda, Gurdeep Brar and Dilawar Sidhu. Saak has been produced by Jatinder Jay Minhas and Rupinder Preet Minhas under the banners of Minhas Films Pvt. Ltd. and Minhas Lawyers LLP.
As the title of the movie suggests, Saak will be based on the love story of the lead pair in Mandy and Jobanpreet. The plot is likely to revolve around the difficulties faced by them before eventually getting together (if they do).
Sippy Gill and Dilpreet Dhillon in and as Jaddi Sardar
The singer-turned-actor-duo of Sippy Gill and Dilpreet Dhillon will be seen together for the first time in Jaddi Sardar. Known for their action-packed songs, Gill and Dhillon are most likely to convert their most preferred genre on the silver screen now.
Other than the dominating pair, Jaddi Sardar will also star Sawan Rupowali, Guggu Gill, Hobby Dhaliwal, Anita Devgan, Gupreet Kaur Bhangu, Satwant Kaur, Yaad Grewal, Gurmeet Sajan, Swaraj Sandhu, Sansar Sandhu, Paminder Gill and Dheeraj Kumar.
Having made his directorial debut with 'Gelo' (2016), Manbhavan Singh will present his second movie after three years. The script, screenplay and dialogues of the movie are written by Dheeraj Kumar and Karan Sandhu.
Jaddi Sardar is likely to be a story of a family whose members will be at a conflict with each other primarily due to the distribution of land between them. In a concept which people should relate with themselves in Punjab, here is looking forward to how well the movie will be received.
Jaddi Sardar has been produced by Baljit Singh Johal and Dilpreet Singh Johal under the banner of Soft Dil Productions. Both Saak and Jaddi Sardar will face some competition from Nitesh Tiwari's 'Chhichhore' and a holdover release in Sujeeth's 'Saaho'.
