Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh has reportedly received a threatening message following his recent humanitarian efforts for flood-affected communities. Aulakh had earlier visited flood-hit areas, distributing essential supplies and pledging substantial support, including Rs 5 crore in aid and 100 tractors to help residents recover from the disaster.
According to reports, the singer received a menacing message from an international phone number, warning that he and his family could face serious harm. Authorities confirmed that a case has been registered at Mataur Police Station in Mohali in connection with the threat.
In a related development, a resident from a village near Chandigarh, who had returned from Italy about a month ago, has been taken into custody in connection with the case. Investigators are now working to determine whether the threat is linked to any organized crime groups.
So far, Mankirt Aulakh has not publicly commented on the threat. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of public figures who engage in charitable work, highlighting the risks that sometimes accompany acts of goodwill.
