Punjabi singer Prem Dhillon, known for hits like Old School and Copyright, is facing a new controversy after a video from a Chandigarh car showroom went viral. In the clip, Dhillon is seen holding a small packet containing a dark substance, sparking allegations of drug promotion.
The video, reportedly shared by Dhillon himself, shows him at a Defender car showroom in Chandigarh, accompanied by several associates. While exploring the showroom and inquiring about vehicles, he is seen seated on a sofa, holding a packet that some viewers claim resembles opium.
Following the video's circulation, an advocate filed a formal complaint with the Chandigarh DGP, alleging that Dhillon was promoting opium. The complainant has demanded that an FIR be registered against the singer and called for his arrest. The advocate has also stated that he will escalate the matter to the High Court if no action is taken within 24 hours.
Prem Dhillon has not issued any statement regarding the allegations. Authorities are yet to comment on whether any investigation has been initiated.
The incident has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with fans and critics debating the authenticity of the substance and Dhillon’s responsibility as a public figure. The outcome of the complaint and potential legal action will likely determine the next steps in this unfolding controversy.
