Punjabi filmmakers are shifting to a more content driven cinema and are willing to experiment with new themes, concepts and genres. The 2017 release, Rabb Da Radio, was a very different film, yet it received a lot of love and appreciation from the audience. It is considered one of the ‘classic’ movies of today’s time. The makers of the film are now releasing it’s sequel, Rabb Da Radio 2 which has made the fans really happy and excited.

Like it’s first part, the movie will be led by Tarsem Jassar and Simmi Chahal, who will play the same characters- Manjinder and Guddi, in the movie. Despite of the same characters, the story line of the film seems to very different and intriguing. The film is being made under the banner of Vehli Janta Films and the Omjee Group. It’s is being bankrolled by Manpreet Johal and Ashu Munish Sahni.

Apart from Tarsem Jassar and Simi Chahal, the film stars Wamiqa Gabbi, BN Sharma, Avtar Gill, Nirmal Rishi, Jagjeet Sandhu, Harby Sangha, Gurpreet Bhangu, Shivandra Mahal, Sunita Dhir, Tania, and Baljinder Kaur in pivotal roles. This film has been directed by Sharan Art and Jass Grewal has written the script of the film. The music of the movie has been released under Vehli Janta Records label.

The sequel will focus on life after marriage and on family values and bonds. The makers have tried to recreate the ambience, magic and charm of the first part and are confident that the sequel will be an emotional and dramatic ride for the audience. The poster, trailer and the tracks have already created a lot of excitement in the audience and the fans are looking forward to the film which will be released worldwide by the Omjee Group on 29 March this year.
