Yo Yo Honey Singh's latest song ‘Maniac’ is making waves across the internet, but it’s not just the rapper’s beats that have caught the audience’s attention. A Bhojpuri verse in the track, ‘Didiya Ke Devra,’ has become the talk of the town, and the voice behind it is none other than Ragini Bishwakarma.
Who is Ragini Bishwakarma?
Ragini Bishwakarma, a rising Bhojpuri singer, has gained immense recognition after lending her voice to Honey Singh’s latest track. Before this, she was already a well-known name in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, with viral Bhojpuri hits like ‘Pankha Cooler Se Na Garmi Bujhala’, which amassed over 9.5 million views on YouTube.
Her journey began humbly, singing to the beats of a dholak, before progressing to studio recordings with the support of Diwakar Sharma, the owner of Anurag Entertainment. Speaking about her struggles, she expressed gratitude for the platform provided by YouTube, which played a major role in bringing her talent to the forefront.
"I am not educated, but because of the support of these people, I am here today," Ragini shared in an interview, crediting Diwakar Sharma and Munna Bhaiya for believing in her talent.
From YouTube Sensation to Bollywood Spotlight
Anurag Entertainment, the YouTube channel that first uploaded Ragini’s songs, played a crucial role in her success. After years of making music independently, she finally got her big break when T-Series picked up her song for ‘Maniac.’
The inclusion of Bhojpuri lyrics in Yo Yo Honey Singh’s song is a first in his music career, and it has struck a chord with fans. The track, which also features Bollywood actress Esha Gupta, is currently trending #1 in YouTube’s music category.
Ragini’s popularity isn’t limited to just YouTube—she has a strong social media presence, boasting over 432k followers on Instagram. There was even a time when Khesari Lal Yadav, one of Bhojpuri cinema’s biggest stars, had promised to collaborate with her.
With her feature in ‘Maniac,’ Ragini Bishwakarma has now entered the mainstream music industry, proving that regional talent can shine on the biggest platforms.
