Well-known Punjabi singer and actor Rajveer Jawanda is currently on ventilator support at Fortis Hospital in Mohali after sustaining severe head and spinal injuries in a road accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. His condition has remained highly critical since being admitted on Saturday afternoon.
Medical professionals attending to Jawanda have confirmed that while his blood pressure remains under control, his neurological condition has not improved. A formal update on his recovery will be issued only after detailed observation over the next 24 hours.
Road Journey Turns Tragic
The unfortunate incident occurred on the Pinjore-Nalagarh highway, when Jawanda, who was out on a motorcycle ride with a group of friends, encountered a pair of bulls fighting on the road. In a split-second reaction to avoid the animals, he lost control of his bike and collided with a passing jeep.
Onlookers reported that the impact threw him off the motorcycle and caused severe trauma, particularly to his head and upper spine. Emergency services were called, and Jawanda was rushed first to a local hospital in Baddi, where doctors noted a dangerously low pulse and unconsciousness.
Cardiac Arrest and Rapid Transfers
He was then shifted to the Civil Hospital in Panchkula, where he suffered a cardiac arrest during initial treatment. Once stabilized, he was referred to Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where a dedicated trauma and neurosurgery team has since taken over his care.
Doctors confirmed that he was brought in on September 27 in a state of medical emergency. Advanced diagnostics were conducted, and he was immediately placed on mechanical ventilation.

As news of the accident spread, public concern grew rapidly. A wave of emotional reactions poured in from the Punjabi entertainment industry and political leaders alike.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, opposition leader Pratap Bajwa, and SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal all expressed their concern and sent wishes for the singer’s recovery.

“His brain and spinal scans indicate multiple areas of trauma. His condition is being reviewed hourly. We will provide an official update after the next round of evaluations,” said a senior doctor at Fortis.
