Rajvir Jawanda Still Critical, No Improvement in Health; Fortis Hospital Suspends Daily Updates

Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda continues to remain on life support at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, as his condition shows no signs of improvement on the tenth day of treatment. The hospital has now paused the release of daily medical bulletins, citing a lack of change in his status.

The singer, who suffered a serious brain injury, has been on a ventilator since his admission. Doctors monitoring him say that oxygen is not adequately reaching his brain — a critical concern that has made his recovery uncertain. Despite intensive care and continuous monitoring, his condition remains unchanged.

A hospital representative said, “There is no update to share at this time. Rajvir Jawanda’s health status is stable but critical. Since there has been no change, we will not issue a daily bulletin unless something significant occurs.”

From September 27 to October 3, Fortis had been issuing daily health reports, which repeatedly stated there was “no major development.” On the ninth day, the hospital decided to halt further updates unless there was a notable shift in his condition.

Jawanda’s case has reminded many of former Punjab Police IG Gurvinder Singh, who suffered a severe head injury in a road accident in 1990 near Banur. He was placed on a ventilator for over six weeks and remained in a coma for two months. Though his recovery was slow, he eventually regained consciousness and began rehabilitation. His story has offered hope to Jawanda’s family and supporters, who are clinging to the possibility of a similar outcome.

Support continues to pour in from across Punjab and beyond, with fans and fellow artists expressing concern and solidarity on social media. Many are praying for a miracle as doctors continue to keep Jawanda under close observation.

Jawanda, a well-known figure in Punjabi music with several hits to his name, remains in critical condition. While his recovery remains uncertain, those close to him are hopeful that his youth and resilience may aid his fight ahead.
