Rupinder Handa's Team Slams Edmonton Show Organizers for Mismanagement, Harassment

0% Liked

Singer Rupinder Handa’s team has issued a strong statement condemning the severe mismanagement and unprofessional behavior of the organizers during her recent performance in Edmonton. The incident, which drew sharp criticism on social media, has now been clarified by the artist’s official team.

According to the statement, Handa arrived in Edmonton at 1:30 PM local time but received no communication from the event promoters regarding logistics or her hotel accommodation. The promoter allegedly forced her to come to the venue’s parking lot, presented her with a bouquet along with two other women, and then instructed her to leave without any further details.

It wasn't until 2:38 PM that the artist received the correct hotel information. On reaching the hotel, no one from the organizing team was present to assist her, and she was only able to check in with the help of local sponsors, not affiliated with the promoter.

Despite the disorder, Handa took the stage and performed for 1.5 hours. Post-show events, however, took a darker turn. The statement alleges that the promoter and her husband tried to confine the singer, snatched her phone, and pressured her to speak on stage, despite her refusal. Feeling panicked and threatened, Handa exited the stage, and members of the audience came to her aid.

Videos of the incident have since emerged online, sparking widespread support for the singer. Her team thanked the people of Edmonton for their understanding and emphasized that the artist should not be blamed for the chaos, as the fault lies entirely with the event management.
