Sagar S Sharma lays prominence on action: The director has assured that the audiences will relish the action sequences of his upcoming movie.

Continuing from where he left in the first part of the interview, director Sagar S. Sharma was further vocal about his upcoming Punjabi movie titled ‘Mitran Nu Shaunk Hathyaran Da’. Slated to release on November 8, the teasers of the movie are pretty much doing the rounds in the Punjabi film industry.

Following a contrasting approach, the makers of the movie have decided to release not just character posters but character teasers. While five teasers have been released as of now, Sharma revealed in an interview with Punjabi Mania that they will release two more teasers before releasing the trailer around October 15.

Opening up on the cast of the movie, Sharma particularly mentioned that it will be hard to find lead actors in his movie for every character has been given equal importance.

“Mitran Nu Shaunk Hathyaran Da is a movie of characters. I am highly confident that people will remember the actors by their names in the movie. I can’t say if someone has played the lead or supporting role because everyone’s role is vital to the movie,” Sharma was quoted as saying.

Having both directed and produced an action movie in Mitran Nu Shaunk Hathyaran Da, Sharma further revealed some mind-blowing details about the scale of action in the movie. “The movie was shot in 40 days in different locations in Punjab and Mumbai. Out of the 40 days of shooting, we shot action sequences for 23 days.

“Out of the 130-minute run-time of the movie, around 50 minutes will be action scenes. The action during the climax is worth-watching. Around 3,000 bullets have been fired in the movie. Forget the number of bullets fired during the shoot of the movie!

“As far as the Punjabi audiences are concerned, they will relish the action on November 8. I can guarantee that footfalls in the cinema halls will definitely increase after the first day on Saturday and Sunday respectively,” Sharma said.

Before concluding, Sharma also talked about the actresses of the movie. Sharma added that the female characters will take the audiences by surprise. Speaking about Siddhi Ahuja and Keetika Sharma, Sharma opined about their characters being inspired from strong women he has watched in his own life.

“A special feature of this movie is its intimidating female characters. You will see the actresses taking equal part in action scenes and not merely present to add glamour quotient to the movie. Both Siddhi Ahuja and Keetika Sharma have strong roles in the movie,” Sharma added.
