New Delhi: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has released images showcasing the pristine condition of the Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium following the conclusion of Diljit Dosanjh's concert in Delhi as part of his Dil-Luminati India Tour. This move comes in response to backlash from the sports community after a middle-distance runner, Beant Singh, criticized the concert's organizers for leaving the venue in disarray.
Post-concert scenes revealed an alarming amount of litter, including garbage, beer bottles, and even broken athletic equipment, raising concerns among athletes and the general public. Local athletes expressed their frustration, noting that some essential equipment, like hurdles, had been damaged and left behind, which they had purchased with their own funds.
In light of these events, SAI and Diljit Dosanjh's team's swift action to clean up the stadium underscores their commitment to maintaining the integrity of sports venues and addressing the concerns of athletes. The clean-up initiative aims to restore the stadium's reputation and reassure the sports community that their facilities will be protected and preserved for future events.
As athletes and fans continue to rally for the proper treatment of sporting venues, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of accountability in event management.
After successfull shows in Delhi, Diljit Dosanjh is all set to take the Pink City on a ride to the Punjabi Vibe.
