Salman Khan became emotional during a special Diwali episode of Bigg Boss 20 when singer Mohit Chauhan brought up his father, veteran filmmaker Salim Khan. A heartfelt tribute from the singer left the Bollywood superstar teary-eyed as he listened to a song from one of his father's early films.

Mohit Chauhan appeared as a special guest on the show and began his interaction by expressing his admiration for Salman. He told the actor that he was a huge fan of his, prompting Salman to thank him. However, Mohit followed it up with a surprising confession, saying that he was an even bigger admirer of Salim Khan.

The singer then went on to perform the song ‘Mujhe Tumse Mohabbat Hai, Magar Main Keh Nahi Sakta…’ from the 1963 film Bachpan. Originally sung by legendary playback singer Mohammed Rafi, the track had a special connection to Salim Khan, who played the lead role in the film. As Mohit sang the memorable number, Salman became visibly overwhelmed and struggled to hold back his tears.

Salim Khan began his acting career with the 1960 film Baraat, in which he appeared as a lead actor. However, some of his initial films failed to make an impact at the box office. He later featured in Bachpan, which also included a brief appearance by Helen. Years later, Salim Khan married Helen, making the film an interesting part of their personal history as well.

The emotional moment added a personal touch to the Diwali special episode, as Mohit Chauhan's performance brought back memories of Salim Khan's early days in cinema and visibly moved his son on the show.
