A segment at the Screen Awards 2026 became an unexpected talking point when actor Rajpal Yadav was teased over a financial matter during a live interaction. Journalist Saurabh Dwivedi made a remark referencing Yadav’s reported dues, which left the comedian momentarily taken aback. Yadav maintained his composure, responding with a light-hearted, “Masla toh sun lo ek baar. Main toh masla hi sunana chahta hoon.”
The clip circulated rapidly on social media, drawing mixed reactions. While some criticized the joke as insensitive, others debated the playful nature of the comment.
Amid the debate, Salman Khan stepped in with words of encouragement for Yadav. The superstar highlighted the comedian’s 30-year contribution to Indian cinema, praising his skill and dedication. Salman’s message emphasized that Rajpal’s talent and professionalism ensure that work opportunities will continue to come his way, regardless of any outside circumstances.
He reassured Yadav, saying, “Kaam toh aapko bohot milega dollar upar ho ya neeche kya farak padta hai, dena toh India mein hi hai,” urging him to remain focused and continue working wholeheartedly.
Fans and fellow celebrities lauded Salman Khan for publicly supporting his colleague, and the clip of his message has now gone viral, further sparking conversations about respect, camaraderie, and solidarity within the film industry.
