She started with appearing in the Punjabi music videos as the female lead. She rose to prominence to the extent of becoming a top-tier name in the Punjabi music industry. Earlier this year, ‘Manje Bistre’ saw her making her debut in as an actress in Punjabi movies. ‘Dangar Doctor Jelly’ saw her playing the role of a lead actress in a Punjabi movie.

Just when it seemed like the beguiling Sara Gurpal had ticked all the boxes in the Punjabi industry, she has made her debut as a singer with ‘Slow Motion’, perhaps the best way to sign off a year as affluent as 2017 has been for her. This year has seen her shifting gears from being a model to an actress to a singer. And the speed at which she is going, who knows that what will be in store for her fans in the following year?

Slow Motion was released this week on the official YouTube channel of Yellow Music. At the time of writing this article, it has received more than 9.5 million views and is trending at #9 on the same platform.

The numbers are up to standard for someone making her debut as a singer and are bound to increase in the days to come as this urban peppy track has it in it to find a place in the audience’s playlists. As far as singing is concened, Gurpal has shown competency at full flow. Having said that, there is always a scope for improvement. Perhaps, that is what she would be looking at in her upcoming projects related to singing.

The song is musically directed by Rox A. Jimmy Kaler has performed the dual responsibility of writing and composing the song. The video, which is shot in Melbourne, has been directed by Teggy (Lemon Squash Creative). The picturesque location of Melbourne has been made full use of by the director. The fact that the song is soothing to the ear and the video is enchanting to the eyes is an epitome of the fact that the work has been completed in full synchronisation.
