One of the leading actresses in Punjabi cinema is Sargun Mehta. But did you know that she was informed she couldn't get a female lead role in Pollywood when she genuinely considered joining the industry? Sargun Mehta talked candidly in an interview about her early days in Pollywood.
Before making her screen debut in Punjabi cinema, she was well-known for her television appearance. She could have chosen to work in Pollywood or to follow her passion and renew her television contract.
However, the reason for her coming is none other than Amrinder Gill’s mother. Yes, you read that right. Many know that Amrinder Gill is the one who brought Sargun Mehta to the Punjabi industry but it's not right. Sargun recently spilt this out in a talk show. The actress who made her debut in the Punjabi industry with ‘Angrej’ feels grateful to Gill's mother and because of her, she got her name in the Punjabi film industry.
Now the small-screen actress has become a renowned artist who bagged her name in many films like Lahoriye, Qismat, Surkhi Bindi and many more. Everyone wishes to witness Sargun in more films. Releasing on 15th March, Jatt Nuu Chudail Takri is the next movie we will see Sargun Mehta in, spreading magic on the screens.
