The younger brother of late Punjabi music icon Sidhu Moosewala celebrated his second birthday on Tuesday, with the family opting for a modest and private gathering. Popularly known among fans as “Nikka Sidhu,” the child continues to attract attention because of his striking resemblance to the singer and the emotional connection people still hold with the Moosewala family.
While this year’s occasion was kept low-key, well-wishers took to social media to share messages and blessings for the toddler. Despite his young age, Nikka Sidhu frequently finds mention online, reflecting the lasting influence of his late brother’s fan following.
Soon after his birth, the child had already gained international visibility when a photograph of him with his father, Balkaur Singh, appeared on a billboard in New York’s Times Square. The moment was widely shared and appreciated by fans across the globe.
Last year, however, the family had marked the occasion with a small celebration attended by relatives and close associates. Former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi was among those present, joining Sidhu’s parents, Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur, during the celebrations. The event had generated significant buzz online, with visuals circulating widely.
Nikka Sidhu was born nearly two years after the untimely death of Sidhu Moosewala, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh. The family had welcomed the child through IVF, a development that drew widespread public attention at the time.
The singer’s killing on May 29, 2022, in Punjab’s Mansa district had left fans and the music industry in shock. Even years later, his legacy continues to resonate, with his family remaining closely followed by admirers.
