Guru Randhawa, a Punjabi and Hindi music sensation whose songs have elevated the bar for both genres, is turning over a new page in his life. The singer-actor, who was already making headlines for his first Bollywood movie as an actor, is all set to hit the big screens of Punjabi cinema as well.

Yes, you read that right. It has already been speculated that Guru Randhawa is working on a Punjabi film along with Gurshabad. And today the same information has been unwrapped by the makers. Titled ‘Shahkot’,  the upcoming film will be released on February 9, 2023. It will be showing the life of Guru who will be deported from his country. The first look poster shows India and Pakistan border and Guru is standing on Pakistan’s side.

Not only this, the forthcoming film ‘Shahkot’ also indicates that the film will be released in different languages such as Punjabi, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Fans are super excited to watch him in Punjabi films. Speaking more about Shahkot, it features Gurshabad in pivotal roles who has already made his name in cinema with the Chal Mera Putt series. Apart from this, Shahkot will also show some love along with Guru and Gurshabad’s journey.

Though the poster only features Guru Randhawa, but from the caption it has been noted that Isha Talwar will be starring opposite Guru in Shahkot. Moreover, this will be the first time both singer and actor will share the screen and we can’t keep calm to watch them on the same screen.  Now coming to the credits, Shahkot is being presented by Aim7Sky in association with Rapa Nui's Film and 751 films.
