Former India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, known for his explosive batting and fun-loving personality, has once again captivated his fans—this time off the field. The celebrated opener, who thrilled audiences with his performances for over a decade, recently jumped into a viral social media trend, recreating the antics of the internet sensation "Pankhe Wale Baba."
In a video posted on Instagram, Dhawan is seen sitting on a chair while three friends lift him high enough for him to reach a ceiling fan. In true “Fan Wale Baba” style, he dramatically spread his hands and halted the spinning fan, all while playfully blessing his "disciples." Dhawan added a devotional Kannada track as background music, making the scene even more entertaining. He captioned the post with humor, writing, “Pankhe Wale Baba Ki Jai Ho.”
The video has garnered over 2.5 million views and sparked a wave of lighthearted comments from fans. One user quipped, “Shikhar bhai, what is this?” while another joked about Dhawan’s new calling as a “guru ji,” dubbing him "Gabbar Baba" in reference to his famous cricketing nickname.
Shikhar Dhawan, who debuted for India in 2010 and recently announced his international retirement, shared his gratitude in an emotional video message in August. Reflecting on his journey, he said, “As I close this chapter of my cricketing career, I carry with me countless memories and gratitude. Thank you for your love and support! Jai Hind!”
