Shooter release date: The much-discussed Punjabi movie will finally release in the cinema halls next month.
Originally announced in October 2019 for a February 2020 release, Punjabi movie 'Shooter' was quite unfortunate to end up in hot water a few days before its release.
Having attracted the then-government's attention, Shooter was banned for release in cinema halls after there were allegations of the film promoting violence and crime.
Playing a lead role for the first time in a Punjabi movie, anchor-turned-actor-turned-singer Jayy Randhawa had remained positive about the release of the movie for all this time often posting images from the movie across his social media handles.
Shooter release date
Randhawa, who had provided an update about the movie getting clearance for a theatrical release earlier this year, took to his Instagram handle to announce its latest release date. Readers must note that Shooter will now release in cinema halls on January 14.
It is noteworthy that Uday Partap Singh's Parmish Verma-starer 'Main Te Bapu' was also slated to release on January 14, 2022. Having said that, Punjabi Mania understands that the movie has been delayed for now. Omjee Star Studios, who have produced Shooter in addition to Geet MP3, are also the producers of Main Te Bapu.
Randhawa, who was first seen in a cameo appearance in Sagar S. Sharma’s ‘Burrraahh’ (2012), had played a cameo in Amberdeep Singh's 'Teeja Punjab' earlier this month.
