Shots Fired Again at Kapil Sharma’s Kap’s Cafe in Canada: Second Incident in a Month Sparks Concern

Kapil Sharma’s Surrey-based eatery, Kap’s Cafe, has come under fire for the second time in less than a month, triggering alarm among residents and fans of the popular Indian comedian.

According to Vancouver City News, the latest incident occurred during the early hours of Thursday near the intersection of 85 Avenue and Scott Road. Surrey Police Service (SPS) confirmed receiving reports of gunfire around 4:40 a.m. Multiple rounds were discharged at the café while employees were inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and law enforcement authorities have launched an active investigation. Officials have appealed to the public for information that might assist in identifying the assailants.

Nearby residents recounted being startled by the sudden burst of gunfire. “I was on my patio when I heard five or six shots ring out, then the police showed up,” said Bob Singh, a local eyewitness. Another resident, Michelle Gaucher, noted, “It was eight loud gunshots. Definitely not fireworks. A similar incident happened here just weeks ago.”

This attack follows a previous shooting incident at the same café in mid-July, mere days after its grand opening. In that case as well, no injuries were reported, but the assailant was never publicly identified.

In a concerning twist, a social media post purportedly linked to gangster Goldy Dhillon emerged hours after Thursday’s incident, claiming responsibility for the firing. The message, written in Hindi, also warned of a similar strike in Mumbai. Dhillon is said to be affiliated with the criminal network of Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious figure known for high-profile threats.

Authorities have not confirmed the authenticity of the claim, but the post has caused widespread unease. Kapil Sharma and his representatives have yet to issue an official statement.

Fans of the comedian took to social media, expressing their anxiety and confusion. “Why would anyone target a comedian like Kapil Sharma?” questioned one user on X (formerly Twitter). “This is truly shocking,” wrote another.
