The family of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala has ignited fresh discussions on social media after posting a cryptic Instagram Story featuring one of the singer's photographs alongside a line from his song Scapegoat.
The Story carried the lyric, "Thodi Aa Siyast Di Bhukh Nahi Koi," a message that many fans believe holds significance in the backdrop of the ongoing political controversy involving Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and Sidhu Moosewala's family.
The development comes days after the family publicly objected to repeated references to Sidhu Moosewala's defeat in the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections. They have also raised fresh concerns over events linked to the aftermath of the singer's murder, adding to the political debate surrounding the issue.
While the Instagram Story did not mention any individual or organisation, it quickly gained traction online, with social media users interpreting it as a subtle response to the ongoing controversy. The post was widely shared across platforms, prompting varied reactions from fans and observers.
Many supporters viewed the Story as an emotional expression, saying the family chose to convey its feelings through Sidhu Moosewala's own lyrics. Others interpreted the line as a reminder of the singer's well-known views on politics and public life, themes that frequently appeared in his music.
Despite the speculation, neither Sidhu Moosewala's family nor any political leader has issued an official statement explaining the intended meaning behind the post. As a result, the Instagram Story continues to fuel conversations online, with its message remaining open to interpretation.
